Is Deutsch Lernen free?

Yes. Flashcards, the Artikel and Präpositionen drills, the dictionary and your progress are free, with no ads.

Which levels does it cover?

A1, A2 and B1. You choose your level when you start and can change it any time in Profile. It sets which words and reading you see first.

Where do the words come from?

A1 and A2 follow the Goethe-Institut exam word lists. B1 is curated from open vocabulary sources. Drill answers come from grammar tables, never from AI, so what you practise is correct.

Do I need an account?

No. You can start as a guest. Sign in with Apple or Google to save your own words and keep your progress in sync across your iPhone and iPad. You can turn a guest account into a full one later without losing anything.

Does it work offline?

Flashcards, the drills and the 2,475 built-in dictionary words all work offline. Looking up a word that isn't built in, reading in Lesen and syncing progress need a connection.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad running iOS 26 or later.

How do I stop reminders?

Turn reminders off in Profile, or in iOS Settings → Notifications → Deutsch Lernen. The app never sends more than one reminder at a time.

What are announcements?

Occasional news, such as a new word pack, new reading or a new app version: at most twice a month, never about streaks or missed days. Past ones are in Profile → Notifications. Turn them off in Profile with the Announcements switch; your practice reminder keeps working.

I found a wrong translation or article. How do I report it?

Please email us with the word and what you expected. We fix content errors in the next update.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Profile → Delete account. You'll be asked to sign in again to confirm. You can also email us and we'll do it for you.
