Practice → Flashcards
Vocabulary at your level, two taps away
Nine built-in decks, three per level, split into nouns, verbs and adjectives. Pick a deck and you're studying. No deck building, no setup.
Three ways to study
Flip cards and swipe Easy, Good or Again. Choose the article for nouns. Or pick the article and type the word, so spelling sticks too.
Spaced repetition
Every answer updates the card's schedule, so words you know fade into the background and the tricky ones come back sooner.
Example sentences
Every built-in word comes with a real example sentence and audio, so you hear it in context.

Practice → Artikel
Stop guessing der, die or das
Articles change with the case, and that's where most learners stall. Artikel drills the declined form inside a full sentence, not in isolation.
All four cases
Filter to the cases you're working on. Answers come from the declension tables, so they're always right.
The table, right there
Definite and indefinite declension tables with memory hints, one tab away from the exercise.
No spoilers
The English translation only appears after you answer, because it would give the gender away.

Practice → Präpositionen
The verbs that come with a preposition
Ich warte auf den Bus. Ich denke an dich. These pairs have to be learned, and they're all over the B1 exam.
Quick rounds
Ten multiple-choice questions from a pool of 100, then a review round for just the ones you missed.
A reference list
72 verbs in 12 groups by preposition, plus a guide to which take Dativ, Akkusativ or either.

Dictionary tab
Look up a word without leaving the app
Search answers from the words already on your phone first, so common words appear as you type, even offline.
Forgiving search
Type with or without the article, with or without umlauts: schon, schoen and schön all find schön. English works too.
Everything about a word
Translation, article, plural, present-tense conjugation, Partizip II, comparative and superlative.
Save it to study it
Edit the definition if you like, then save the word to your own list and review it with flashcards.

Progress tab
See the habit forming
A calendar fills in for every day you practise. That's the whole reward system, on purpose.
Activity calendar and streak
Each day shows how many cards you reviewed. Your streak stays grey until you've practised today.
Mastery by level
How many A1, A2 and B1 nouns, verbs and adjectives you've got right, so you know when you're ready to move up.

Practice → Lesen
Coming in the next updateFrom drills to real German
A reader for ten hand-picked German sites, like Nachrichtenleicht and logo!, filtered to your level.
Tap any word
See its meaning without switching apps. Inflected forms are traced back to the dictionary word.
Translate a sentence
Select a phrase and translate it with Apple's on-device translation. Nothing leaves your phone.
